Classic Catering regularly helps dozens of notable Kansas City companies with their catering needs daily. Corporate event planners and trainers are busy; that’s why Classic takes care of the details, and stays within the agreed budget.Quality control is also essential to Classic – which is why every detail is quadruple-checked. As a businessperson you’re often dealing with tight schedules. That’s why you can count on Classic Catering to be on time and get the catering plan just right. After all, when you look good, Classic looks good!
Classic Catering is not in the “boring” box lunch business. As proprietor Mary Partridge says, “We continually ask ourselves, ‘How can we make this catered event even better?’ For example, instead of boxes, why not Kansas City Barbecue or a Mexican Fiesta? Or chocolate mousse or cheesecake for dessert? And, if it’s a box lunch you really need, no one fills the box with better quality food than Classic. Why go with boring? Classic Catering adds zest to your catered events!
Classic Catering is not your “run of the mill” caterer. Tangibly, this might mean making canapés by hand – or creating a special Vegan menu. According to Doug Partridge, “We ask ourselves, ‘Why make mashed potatoes when ‘infused’ mashed potatoes will make guests’ mouths water for more?”Classic Catering will work within your budget to prepare a menu that your guests will be talking about long after your important event is over. From imaginative food to professional bar services, Classic manages every detail of private events just right.
Classic Catering has provided our company with corporate catering for at least the last seven years – even before I joined the company. The seven of us in the corporate event and training department use Classic regularly for a variety of catering needs. I use Classic myself for everything from ten classes of 30 people over three days to upwards of 20 classes (of 30 people). No matter the scale, Classic really makes it easy for us to do our jobs.
Classic sets up in our corporate cafeteria regularly – without any supervision. They know exactly what to do; they’re extremely professional. It’s almost too easy for us!
We plan menus with Classic sometimes a year in advance. When the event date approaches, Classic will call on their own accord and discuss any catering details. They’re especially good with creating menus and suggestions around various holidays – even little things like shamrock cookies for St. Patrick’s Day. They also dress up the food displays with festive décor, like sombreros when they serve up a Mexican dish. Classic is also very reliable with special menus for religious dates – for example, fish choices for Ash Wednesday.
Most importantly, we always hear back from our trainees that the food was excellent. The last thing someone wants over a multiple day training session is the same box lunch everyday. Classic serves up everything from delicious pot roast with baked potatoes and carrots to Barbecue with baked beans and potato salad. It’s a really nice variety.
Classic always has a nice assortment of desserts too – including delicious baked chocolate chip cookies, brownies and cakes. They also have wonderful cheesecake and truffles.
When we do need box lunches – for en route to the airport as an example – they are not just standard box lunches. Classic will have albacore tuna, croissants or chicken Caesar wraps with pasta or fruit – and of course gourmet desserts!
Classic is extremely reliable, too. No matter the weather – rain or snow – they’ve never been late. And they’ve never failed to be on top of the details for one of our catered events, even if it was planned over a year ago.
Our company allows our department to choose any caterer we like for our corporate event needs. But we all choose Classic – they just do such a great job, it makes the catering decision easy. They’re nice to work with, they work within our budgets, they’re professional, and the food is great! I’d highly recommend Classic for your corporate catering needs.
We chose Classic Catering for our daughter, Lainie’s, Bat Mitzvah after attending a private tasting with Classic. The food at the tasting was really fantastic and we really had a good feeling about hiring Classic.
As it turned out, they were just wonderful to work with. Mary had these wonderful ideas; things I didn’t think of. But they were also very realistic, helping us to stay within our budget. We ended up with plenty of great food – even some leftovers, which was nice!
The food displays were also very pretty and very creative. Doug’s (Partridge) fruit sculptures were really gorgeous too; just beautiful displays. They also had a cake-shaped cheese torte with Lanie’s name on it: very cool.
We knew we had various guests with vegetarian and special dietary needs and also some allergies – but it was really no big deal for Classic, they had lots of options to choose from. They also had small, classy labels for the buffet so our guests new exactly what they were choosing; it was very helpful. Overall, Classic was very sensitive to all of the details – big and small.
I really had no worries about catering on the day of the event. Mary helped with the timing of the agenda and created a very detailed schedule that really helped to keep us on track. It was all just seamless.
Most importantly, the food was just so delicious; I would highly recommend Classic for your special event. In fact, we’re planning on using them again ourselves for our son’s Bar Mitzvah!
